Kenneth "Dutch" Clifford Schmidt, peacefully departed this life in California, KY at the age of 90 on January 17, 2022, fortified by the sacraments of Holy Mother Church. Loving husband for 65+ years of the late love of his life, Suzann (nee Naegel) Schmidt. He was also preceded in death by his fourth son Todd S. (Tina) Schmidt, his parents, Clifford Elmo and Mary Rose (nee Busker) Schmidt and siblings, Elizabeth L. (Jim) Meyer, Donald L. Schmidt, and Jack R. (Joann) Schmidt.

He was born on December 19, 1931, and raised in the "Bottoms", attending St. Peter in Chains Cathedral School-Springer Institute and Elder High. In raising 10 children he showed courage and fortitude during his 90 years. He fought a battle against cancer, never complaining or blaming. He was always engaged with Faith, Hope, and Love.

He was Self-Employed spending a long career with the Barq's Bottling Co. and was instrumental in the introduction of Brownberry Bread to Cincinnati and owned a Cincinnati Enquirer delivery route in Anderson Township.

Dutch was a long-time resident of Anderson where he enjoyed life with his family and many friends. Dad was a sweet and kind soul who never met a person he didn't like. He was involved in the lives of his children and coached his sons in their athletic pursuits and attended his grandchildren's Sporting events through the years. He loved his Hometown teams and enjoyed the Reds, Bengals, and Bearcats win-or-lose!

Survived by 9 of his children, Very Reverend Jan K. Schmidt, Barry (Gretchen) Schmidt, Glen (Cindy) Schmidt, Colleen Sue (Dan) Kremer, Clifford (Kip) (Donna) Schmidt, Bruce Schmidt, Kelly (Bill) Weissmann, Amy (Greg) Fechter and Scott (Julie) Schmidt. Dearly loved by his grandchildren he leaves a great posterity, Zach (Lindsay) Schmidt, Nick (Casey) Schmidt, Drew (Paige) Schmidt, Dusty (Stephanie) Schmidt, Cara Schmidt, Marie Schmidt, Chad Bowen, Angie (John) Bedacht, Hoepe (Aaron) Simon, Ashley Bowen, Gabriel Kremer, Ethan Kremer, Brett Kremer, Jaime (Chris) Ornella, Lee Gabbert, Cody Schmidt, Ryan (Sarah) Schmidt, Tyler (Brittany) Schmidt, Kelly Schmidt, Bryson Schmidt, Matt Weissmann, Mark Weissmann, Austin Turner, Corey Fechter, Logan Schmidt, Alexandra Schmidt and Taylor Schmidt, and a multitude of great-grandchildren, Tori, Henry, Ty, Jon, Bennett, Baylor, Kylie, Bailey, Marley, Loraine, Lacey, Katerina, Emma, Alina, Hayden, Quinton, Julia, Cara, Ben, Joshua, Emily, Avery, Eva, Carter, Coraline, Samantha, Brooklynn, Corbynn, Adelynn, Emmalynn, Oaklynn, Peyton, Collin, Audrey, Liam. Great-great-grandchild, Charlie, his sister-in-law Joann Schmidt and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Visitation at T.P. WHITE & SONS Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Mt. Washington on Thurs. Jan. 20, from 4 - 8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial is on Fri. Jan 21, at 11 AM at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter in Chains, 325 W. 8th Street Cincinnati, OH 45202-1903. Burial to take place immediately following at Guardian Angels Cemetery, Anderson Twp.
