Arthur Clay Hood was born on February 14, 1969, the son of the late Eulie Vaughn Hood and the late Janice King Hood Hobbs. He was reared in Deepstep where he lived his entire life. Clay was a 1987 graduate of Brentwood School and spent his working career in the kaolin industry working in maintenance for Thiele Kaolin Company. He loved hunting and reading, especially books about history. Clay loved animals and possessed an ability to work with and train horses. He was a member of Deepstep United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his loving wife, Stephanie Coley Hood; his brother, Ryan Hood and his wife Kelly; and his niece, Evie Grace Hood, all of Deepstep.
