Beatrice E. Lawson, 92, of Evans City, formerly of New Sewickley Township, passed away on Friday morning, Jan. 14, 2022, at St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Edith Mempes Hentschel.

Beatrice had worked for 43 years as a nurse's aide at Elsie Miller Nursing Home and Pineview Manor in Wexford, before retiring in 1970.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Zelienople, and the Evans City Senior Center.

Surviving are three sons, Jerry Lawson of Tionesta, David Lawson of Zelienople, and William Lawson (Luling) of Florida; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandkids; three great-great-grandkids; and a brother, Embress "Andy" Hentschel of San Antonio, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold "John" Lawson, whom she married on Dec. 7, 1947, and who died on May 3, 1994; a son, Tom Lawson; a sister, Edith Chilleo; and three brothers, Edward Hentschel Jr., James "Jim" Hentschel and Robert "Bob" Hentschel.

LAWSON - Friends of Beatrice E. Lawson, who died Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, will be received from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

A service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Warrendale.

Memorials may be made to the Evans City Public Library.
