Emily Cochran, 88, of Campbells Creek passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2011, at Marmet Center.
She was born in Kanawha County on May 6, 1923. Along with her parents, George W. and Rebecca Bostic Morton, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl R. Cochran; son, Carl W. Cochran; brothers, Jack, George and Fred Morton; sisters, Pat Scharer and Theda Dunaway; and three grandchildren, Randy, Carla and Sherry.
Emily retired from CAMC as a LPN with 20 years of service.
She is survived by son, Roger (Patricia) Cochran of Mobile, Alabama; daughters, Jane LeBlanc of Pearl River, Louisiana, Dorothy (Edward) Blount of Mobile, Alabama, Alice (Marvin) Horan of Charleston, and Brenda (Ron) Hayson of Monterey, Virginia; brother, Ronald Morton of Campbells Creek; sisters, Norma Young of Charleston and Tina Bixler of Florida; nine grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with the Rev. Mike Long officiating.
The burial will follow the service in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Tuesday, September 27, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
