As her children aged, she embarked on a successful and fulfilling career at Weichert Realtors in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. As a realtor, she loved settling families into new homes in the area and she was a great advocate for her clients. After Mary retired from real estate, she turned her focus to writing. She joined the New Jersey chapter of Women Who Write and developed a lifelong passion. Mary ran writing workshops in Nantucket, Massachusetts and New Vernon, New Jersey. She was fascinated to hear people's life stories and loved helping them craft their memoirs. One of her greatest loves was helping veterans to heal old wounds through writing about their wartime experiences. Mary wrote poetry and books about her father, her husband, and her family. Mary had many lifelong friends young and old. She cherished her friendships and was a loyal compassionate confidant.
Mary is predeceased by her loving parents, William and Mary Crecca, her sister Ellen and brother James and his wife Susan, her beloved husband Bill and her two daughters' in-law Maggie and Megan Kenny and great-grandson, Elliot.
