Lewis Alfred Hale of Annapolis, MO passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022 at the age of 89 years, 10 months, 28 days. He was born February 17, 1932 in Mounds, IL. to the late Royal and Thelma Hale.

Lewis is preceded in rest by his parents Royal and Thelma, a son Kevin Hale, four brothers; Leonard Hale, Roy Hale, Curtis Hale, and Joseph Hale, and his sister Gladys Marie Bollinger.
As a young man Lewis served his country with honor and pride in the United States Air Force where he served in the Korean War; he was very proud of his service to his country. After serving his country Lewis started working as a sheet metal worker. For 60 years Lewis was a member of the Local 36 Sheet Metal Workers Union and worked very hard to support his family. While Lewis worked very hard and put in many long hours, he still found time to follow his love for music. He was a talented musician, guitar player, and singer. He played many different clubs in his early years where he polished his talents and skills, even playing with one of Elvis Presley's drummers. Later in his music career, Lewis graduated to playing in his church, playing for and praising his Lord and Savior.
Lewis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be missed by all who were blessed to love and know him.
A Visitation for Lewis will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Cole Family Funeral Home in Ironton, MO.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Vulcan Assembly of God Church in Vulcan, MO. Interment will follow the services in the Bollinger Family Cemetery in Annapolis, MO with full Military Honors. Pastor Daniel Tidmore will be officiating the services.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Bollinger Family Cemetery in care of the Peoples Bank in Annapolis, MO.
