Crystal "Star" Jones, 42, of Mount Holly, passed away June 12, 2021, at Novant Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte.

A native of Bluefield, West Virginia, she was born September 9, 1978, daughter of the late Clayton and Jennifer Finley.

Star was a selfless caregiver.

She always wanted to look after others and make sure that their needs were met.

She always treated everyone fairly.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Shane Jones; daughter, Kaylee Jones; son, T.J. Jones; brothers and sisters, Tina Brennan (Michael), Chase Finley, Matt Finley (Ashton), several nieces and nephews.

Star's immediate family would like to give a special thank you to the other members of the Finley/Jones family, and their friends and neighbors for their help and support.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 pm Saturday, June 19, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Novant Health Buddy Kemp Cancer Support Center, 242 S. Colonial Ave., Charlotte, NC 28207.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
