Dad worked as a heavy equipment operator for David A. Bramble, Inc. for 22 years, Hardaway Construction for 11 years and returned to David A. Bramble for nine additional years before retiring in 2008.
Joseph enjoyed a good meal, especially crabs. He also liked to bowl, watch wrestling (WWE) boxing and football. He was an amazing husband, outstanding father and excellent grandfather.
In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by three sons, Joe, Jr., Richard and Jerome Blake; grandson, Joe III; four brothers and three sisters.
Dad leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Marilyn; three sons, William Blake (Jill) of St. Robert, MO, Adrian Blake (Lauren) of Worton, MD and Michael Blake of St. Robert, MO; sister, Shirley Dorsey; aunt, Mary Hynson; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
