Kirk Miller, son of the late James E. Miller and Janet Kay Tomlinson Miller, was born May 19, 1967 in Batesville, Arkansas. He departed this life January 15, 2022 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 54 years, 7 months and 27 days. Kirk was a graduate of Melbourne High School and went on to attend University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where he earned a bachelors degree in Business Administration. He was united in marriage to Patricia Kankey July 23, 1988 in Melbourne, Arkansas. Kirk spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, provider and friend. At the time of his death, he was a fourth generation owner-operator of Miller's Hardware and Hometown Markets. He was active in community affairs, serving on the Melbourne School Board and Lions Club. Kirk enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting with family and friends. He was of the Baptist faith and a life long member of Melbourne First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.

Kirk is survived by his wife of 33 years: Trish Miller of the home; one daughter and son-in-law: Abbi Leigh and Rusty Smith of Melbourne; one son: Nicholas Kirk Miller of Melbourne; one Godson, Richard Hammond of Melbourne; one brother: James O. Miller and wife Janie of Melbourne; one sister: Sharon Kay Edwards and husband Tim of Mount Pleasant; two grandchildren: Nora and Ryder Smith and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be Monday, January 17 from 6-8 p.m. at Melbourne First Baptist Church. Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Melbourne First Baptist Church with Doyne Robertson, Rick Burke and James Miller officiating. Burial will be at Melbourne Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
