George Wendell Williams, 90, died Saturday, January 15, 2022 at his home in Williamston, N.C. He was born November 25, 1931 to the late Stella Roberson Williams and Henry Williams.
Wendell was proceeded in death by his brothers Henry Clyde Williams and J.R. Williams and his sisters Vera Williams Congleton and Ola Gray Williams Peel.
He is survived by his wife and daughter and her son. Wendell was previously married to Joetta Hopkins Williams (deceased) and is survived by her 3 sons. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren who all loved him dearly.
Wendell was a retired home builder and farmer who loved his family, church and his Farm Life community. He was an Army and National Guard veteran, a long time member of Fairwiew Christian Church and a 48 year member of the Farm Life Ruritan Club with perfect attendance. He loved anything John Deere green and Duke University.
The graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Tice Cemetery in Williamston, N.C. The family will meet with friends and family after the service and sincerely thanks everyone for their loving support through Wendell's illness.
Memorial donations may be made to Fairview Christian Church or the Farm Life Ruritan Club.
