George Duane Chambers, 65, of Hutchinson, died January 13, 2022, at his daughter's residence in Iola. He was born May 17, 1956, in Leavenworth, the son of Phillip L. and Maurine J. (Guffey) Chambers.

George attended Hutchinson schools and received his CMA and CNA training from Hutchinson Community College and Pratt Community College. He was on over-the-road truck driver for many years, driving for JB Hunt and others. George also was a driver for Hutch Taxi Service. He was a workaholic, but also enjoyed watching TV and playing games on his tablet. George was a member of First United Methodist Church.

On July 8, 2016, he married his longtime sweetheart, Jeanette Kaye Goering, in Hutchinson. She survives of the home.

Also surviving are: daughters, Mary Chambers of Hutchinson, Stacey Anders of Iola, Krista Spady of Florida; son, Joey Spears of Arkansas City; siblings, Mary Popilock of Tucson, AZ, Linda Kozel (Don) of Bonner Springs, Patty Wedel (Rieny) of Moundridge, and Gene Elder of Wichita.

George was preceded in death by: his parents; a brother, Michael Elder; and sister, Sharon Fellman.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2410 Carey Blvd., Hutchinson. Friends may sign his memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily until the service.
