Margaret Mary Martin, 95, passed away January 14th, 2022, beloved wife of the late Charles Martin. Margaret, known as "Peggy" to friends and family, was born June 18th, 1926, in Roxbury Massachusetts to Raymond Eagan and Margaret Eagan. She was predeceased by her brother, John Eagan; and her son-in-law, Raymond Cronk. She is survived by her four children, Mary Martin Cronk (Raymond), Charles Edward Martin (Masami Usui), Margaret Teresa von Rohr (John), and Patrick John Martin. She was a beloved grandmother to eight grandchildren, Tara Robinson (nee Cronk), Brittany Cronk, Mia (Usui) Martin, Charles (Usui) Martin, Alison von Rohr, Eric von Rohr, Cordelia Martin, and Avery Martin. She was a beloved great-grandmother to Leo Robinson, River Robinson, and Jasper Chilson. A Boston native, Margaret met Charles on vacation in Laconia, New Hampshire. They fell in love and married in 1951, and lived the rest of her life in Charles' native Northport. She was a nurse at the Veterans Hospital in Northport, NY, where she specialized in gerontology. Margaret loved quilting and music, especially opera. She took many classes in quilting, and taught her children and grandchildren knitting. An avid reader, she often went on Northport Library sponsored cultural outings. She never lost her Boston accent.

Reposing Tuesday 4-7 PM at Nolan Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Avenue, Northport. Funeral Mass Wednesday 9:45 AM, St. Philip Neri Church, Northport. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
