Gary L. Bartlett, 77, of Beatrice, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 unexpectedly at his home. He was born on April 11, 1940 in Diller to Leo and Fern (Close) Bartlett. Gary attended grade school at Ellis, and high school in Beatrice. He married Pauline Weber on May 28, 1961 at St. John Lutheran Church in Beatrice. Gary retired as a welder from the Hoover Group after 35 years in 2000. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, volunteering with the forest service and especially spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Dick Bartlett; two of his brothers-in-law; and three of his sisters-in-law.

Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice, with Pastor Myron Meyer officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Home Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
