Dot dedicated much of her life to her community. She was PTA president in Dekalb County and was awarded a Lifetime Membership by the Georgia PTA. She delivered Meals On Wheels, volunteered at nursing homes and was appointed to serve on the Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation Board. After retirement, she moved to Lake Oconee and volunteered as a Pink Lady at the Putnam General Hospital. She was a Ruling Elder at the Eatonton Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching and the beauty of the lake. She had a special love for her toy poodle, Sadie.
She was employed at Georgia Power in Atlanta for 22 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, T. D. and Margarette Jump, brother Donald Jump and sister Ann Francis, all of Eastman, GA.
