Larry R. Lee, 64, of Paola, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Miami County Medical Center.

Family will meet with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 17, 2022 at Dengel & Son Mortuary-Crematory, 305 N. Pearl St., Paola, KS, 66071. Cremation will follow with a private burial of cremains at a later date.

Larry was born Sunday, March 3, 1957, in Paola, KS, the younger of two sons born to Clifford Lee and Thelma (Ricketts) Woodrum. He grew up in Paola and graduated from Paola High School in 1975.

Larry was united in marriage to Catherine "Cathy" Collins on September 16, 1983, in Paola. They made their home in Paola and became the parents of three children. Cathy preceded him in death on March 21, 2014.

Larry worked in construction and maintenance. He owned and operated Lee Construction prior to being employed at the Osawatomie State Hospital. He later went to work for Triangle Builders and lastly Lakemary. He loved being outdoors, fishing, and walking his beloved dog Barney. He was an avid Chiefs' fan.

He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his children; his brother ; 8 grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
