Janice "Gayle" Wilson, of Liberty, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Casey County Hospital. She was 77.
Born on November 6, 1944, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Alec Corbit and Eula Coien Lee Fletcher. Gayle was a beautician and a seamstress. She formerly owned Wilson's Wholesale Bait. She loved her dog, Molly. Gayle was a member of Creston Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Marcus Gene White of Liberty; a daughter, Faith White Crew of Liberty; three grandchildren, Hailey White, Christopher (Stacia) Atwood, and Dallas Chadwell; a brother, Charlie Cifus (Jean) Fletcher of Liberty; and seven great-grandchildren, Alexis Crew, Blake Crew, Myles Luttrell, Forrest Luttrell, Jaylee Atwood, Colton Atwood, and Carson Atwood.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James B. "Jim" Wilson; a brother, Johnny Earl Fletcher; two sisters, Hazel Phillips and Elizabeth Hamm; a grandson, Justin Atwood; and her best friend, Elizabeth Grider.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Crew officiating. Burial will follow in Whited Cemetery.
