Born 08/29/1929 in Gilmer, TX to Levy Henry and Clora Lee Murry Taylor

Preceded in death by both parents, siblings, Viola Carlisle, Louise Howard, Jean Voirin, Troy (Buddy) Taylor, daughter, Dianna Sue Taylor

Survived by Wife, Reba Curtis Taylor, Children, Sherry Taylor Henson (William), Michael Taylor, Jennifer Taylor Lowrance and many grafted in children, including Dora White and Blanca Garnica, Grandchildren, Andrew Henson (Jaclyn), Jaxon Lang, Morgan Lowrance, and Susie Taylor, Great Grandsons, Bradyn and Bentley Henson.

The kids and grandkids were the love of his life and he always thought of them in his planning- tree houses, swings- bicycles- fishing and building. Before he passed, he called each one of them in and gave them instructions about living their lives for Jesus, studying His Word, and hiding it in their hearts. Then he prayed for each one of them encouraging them and giving them his blessing.

Bill grew up not knowing there was an Old Testament and New Testament. In February 1949, he found himself inside a church that was having a revival. He realized quickly that he was in the wrong place and at the end of the service, started for the door. Instead, he turned for the altar and gave his heart to Jesus. He had a sincere hunger for more and began studying the Bible. He attended every revival in the country regardless of the denomination. He went to Bible college for a year and then God launched him into full time evangelistic ministry. He was a powerful preacher with an urgency to tell people about the deliverance from the shackles of sin possible through the blood of Jesus because he had experienced a dramatic change in his own life. In his early career, he pastored two churches in Alabama which saw tremendous growth and many souls saved. After a dark time in his life, he ended up in Roswell, NM where he met and married Reba Curtis who became his partner in ministry. He then served in the Church of the Nazarene pastoring at Whispering Pines, Hawkins, TX, Tyler First, Tyler TX, Sulphur Springs, TX and Bass Lake Worship Center, Lindale, TX. He also served as Camp Manager for Scottsville Camp and Conference Center, Scottsville, TX. His last major project was developing a Christian community where people of like faith and values could live in a safe environment and care for each other. He purchased 111 acres known as Bass Lake Ranch in Lindale, TX. He donated property for the Sower Ministry to move their office from Seattle, WA and make it more centrally located for workers to reach their next project. With the help of a group of Sowers, he developed 65 RV spaces which could be a haven and a place for respite from work projects. Eventually others joined that were not Sowers but had the same Christian values. The ranch developed other parts with permanent homes until the ranch is now full of people. God was with him and saw him through the ups and downs that always come when you're doing a good work. He would say emphatically that God's grace is the only thing that will get us through this world and to the next life. And, if you haven't, he would encourage you to repent and receive forgiveness through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. You can experience a new life, and as you follow Him and trust Him to help you obey, when you come down to the final hour in your life, He will say, Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your
Lord. What could be a better challenge and goal?
