Ronald R. Scott, 88, was son of the late Melvin and Deloris Scott. He graduated from Watervliet High School class of 1953 and served his country in the US Army during the Korean War as a mechanic in charge of the motor pool. Ronald later was a self employed mechanic, race car driver and builder. He won several NHRA drag racing events and held multiple NHRA records. Ron was known as "Mr. AA/A" and was the first driver to dip into the sevens with a 7.98 qualifying pass at 168 mph. He was an avid fisherman, New York Yankee fan and attendedhis grandchildren's sporting events.
Survived by his wife of 64 years... four children...; 8 grandchildren, 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
