When Janice Ann Mcwhorter was born on November 27, 1943, in Harris County, Texas, her father, Jay Dee McWhorter, was 37, and her mother, Nancy Elizabeth Wilson, was 19. She married Jerald Dean Thomas and they had four children together. She then married Richard Homer Gray on May 26, 1978, in Harris, Texas. She died on December 13, 2020, at the age of 77. She is buried to the left of her mother, Nancy, in the cemetery. The row she is on also contains the parents of Jay Dee McWhorter: Lawrence Buford McWhorter and Louisa "Lou" Rainey Nobles.
