Lynn E. Byers, 84, of Chambersburg, PA passed away the morning of Thursday, January 13, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Born June 29, 1937 in Chambersburg he was the son of the late Bruce B. and Blanche E. (Hull) Byers.

He was a graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School with the Class of 1955. Lynn served and retired from the United States Army as a SPEC 7. He was also a recruiter for the Army Reserves for a number of years. Lynn was then employed for DESCOM at Letterkenny Army Depot in military support, retiring at age 50. Following retirement from Letterkenny, Lynn kept himself young and busy with his numerous rental properties in the Chambersburg area.

For most of his life, Lynn was a very faithful and active member of Grand Point Church where he helped with Vacation Bible School, went on many mission trips and attended Sunday school classes. He was an athlete for most of his life playing volleyball, basketball, wallyball, and softball and also competing in the National Senior Olympics representing Pennsylvania. Lynn enjoyed going on bus trips with his wife and spending time with his dog Bandit. He also served on the board of the Salvation Army, Chambersburg.
