Matthew Goodman, aged 80 years, died at the home of his son Robert Goodman of this place, Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. He was ill but a few days. Mr. Goodman was born in Ireland, February 12, 1842. He came to Kansas and settled 30 years ago. He has lived here with his son Robert and family, where he has been tenderly cared for the past two years.

Burial was in the Weir City cemetery.
