Douglas L. Dann, age 83 of Richfield, Wisconsin, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022.
Doug was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 16, 1938 to his parents; Leslie and Audrey Dann. Doug was the oldest of 4 boys. His brother David died in Vietnam; Russel lives in New Hampshire and Neil lives in North Carolina.
Doug worked as a paperboy in the neighborhood and later at the local gas station. He knew June from school and the neighborhood. At age 21 they married and had 2 children, Doug Jr. and Kristin (Steve) Nordness. Doug was a very proud and loving grandfather to Kristin's two girls, Holly Bjelland and Megan Neitzel. He was very involved in their lives.
Doug always loved cars and worked the majority of his life in the automobile industry. When he retired, he joined June in real estate. They enjoyed their friends and fellowship with the Senior Adult Ministry at Northbrook Church.
Anyone who knew Doug could see his love for the Lord demonstrated in how he lived his daily life. His smile was infectious and he was known for giving wonderful hugs. For 61 years Doug's love for June was always evident and he continued to fall in love with her as they aged. Doug's children and grandchildren felt his love for them just through the look in his eyes.
"Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." Romans 12:9-12
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, January 16, 2022. Visitation at 2:00 pm until time of service at 3:00 pm at Northbrook Church, 4014 Hwy 167 W, Richfield, WI 53076. Interment Wisconsin Memorial Park.
