APRIL 10, 1936 – JANUARY 10, 2022
On Monday, January 10, 2022, Mary Evelyn Francis was welcomed into the gates of heaven at the age of 85. A native of Dulac and a resident of Morgan City, Mary was known for living for her family. Her life revolved around her children, siblings, many grandchildren, and her beloved fur-babies. With her, each grandchild felt special and adored and knew Maw Maw Fran loved them. In her past, Mary enjoyed going shrimping and spending time at the casinos. She excelled at cleaning fish and wild game, could bake delicious meals (her sweet potato pie and fried bread were the absolute best in the world), and she was exceptional at giving orders to her children. Her sweet and loving demeanor has surely made heaven that much brighter.
Mary's wonderful memory will live on in the hearts of her children, her siblings, 21 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
She was greeted in death by her husband, Antoine "Tee" Francis; her parents, Cyril and Albertine Lodrigue; siblings, Norris Rodrigue, Mae Parfait, Tony Rodrigue, Ernest Rodrigue and Lorena Reed; one grandchild, Tabatha Gross and one great grandchild, Dylan Dinger.
Burial will be in the Berwick Cemetery.
