Janice C. Patterson, 78, of Little Falls, passed away peacefully, Wednesday morning, January 12, 2022, with her family by her side, after a long and courageous battle, in St. Johnsville, New York.

Born September 5, 1943, in Little Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late George and Ruth (Manclow) Patterson.

She was educated locally and just loved to be on the farm.

She was a graduate of Fort Plain Central School, 'Class of 1961.'

She worked at Little Falls Hospital (Housekeeping) for many years. At one time, she worked at Luxuray Mill in Fort Plain.

She was an active member of our community, serving as a Girl Scout Leader, a member of Little Falls Football Boosters and she supported the local Little League. Most of all, she was the utmost caring and sincere mother we could ever ask for. Everything Janice did for her children and grandchildren was inspirational and full of love. Our mother was the center of the family and our lives are a testament to her kind path that she carved for us.

She is survived by her sister, Donna Marie Patterson; her daughter, Sandra (Philip) Brown; three sons, Charles, Wayne and Steven (Michelle); six grandchildren, Erica Smith, Kaitlin Sugar, Dalton McCumber, Jaren McCumber, Braden McCumber and Marya McCumber; great-grandchildren, Jaksen Dionne, Kayne Sugar and Kiah Sugar; as well as several nieces, nephews, and many friends. Janice is also survived by her loving companion of over 26 years, August "Gus" Douglas and his family, our 'papa.'

Janice met numerous people throughout the years and we would like to extend a warm thank-you to all who touched her life.

Interment will be at Springfield Center Cemetery.
