He was born October 29, 1948 in Sacramento, CA to Elton and Jesse Ruth Schooling who preceded him in death. Gloria, Brian's wife of 38 years, also preceded him in death. Brian is survived by his two children, and their families and a brother and a sister living in Oregon.
Brian grew up mostly in Sacramento before moving to Red Bluff, and graduating from Red Bluff High School in 1966. He attended college, served in the US Army, and married Gloria in 1975. They enjoyed camping and bird-watching, and attended Gerber Bible Fellowship for many years. He faithfully supported his family by selling vehicles and flooring. He enjoyed singing, ping-pong, cribbage, stamp-collecting, and watching football.
He was a volunteer fire chief, and was always helping the people around him with errands or even emergencies. He could be heard saying, "Call me anytime, day or night." He was a born-again Christian and enjoyed serving the Lord. He loved being a grandpa, and would often babysit his grandchildren.
