s/o Morris Wagner of Appomaddox, Virginia, his mother Patricia Wagner (Benfield) of North Carolina

Forrest, who went by his middle name Wayne, grew up in Norfolk, Virginia with his loving family and enjoyed playing outside with his brothers. At nineteen he enlisted in the Navy, serving as a Hospital Corpsman out of Norfolk, Virginia and San Diego, California. In his youth, Wayne had many friends and adventures, including hitchhiking across the country and relaxing in the beautiful pastures of Puerto Rico.

Wayne continued his service to others throughout his entire life which brought him to New Hampshire in the late '80s to work at Pheonix House Rehab Center at both it's Keene and Dublin locations. He cared deeply for his clients and enjoyed meeting folks from all walks of life.

In 2000, Wayne met his longtime partner Bonnie LaPointe while both working as Direct Care Support professionals for Monadnock Worksource, assisting adults with high support needs. They enjoyed a beautiful 15 years together and Wayne became a part of her family, helping to raise Bonnie's two kids. Together they enjoyed traveling to Disney world, swimming in Maine, and visiting Wayne's family in Virginia. In 2010, he was able to fulfill his lifelong dream of visiting Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany.

Wayne is predeceased by his father, Morris Wagner of Appomaddox, Virginia, his mother Patricia Wagner (Benfield) of North Carolina, and his longtime partner Bonnie LaPointe. In addition to many heartbroken friends and family, Wayne leaves behind two brothers; his mother-in-law; his two step children he raised.

Affectionately nicknamed "Uncle Pickle", Wayne was a loving role model to his extended nieces, and dear friend to sister-in-law.

The family cats, Momma Kitty and Bonzo will miss cuddling on his lap.

You could easily find Wayne strolling downtown Hancock & along the Depot Trail. He enjoyed reading, poker, and the musical stylings of Frank Sinatra & The Beatles. He cared deeply for the world and all it's creatures.
