A native of Swain County, N.C., and a resident of San Francisco for 33-years where she worked for the state of California, retiring six years ago as assistant librarian for the Division of Natural Resources. She attended Maryville College. Maryville, Tenn, and Carson-Newman College, Jefferson City, Tenn. She was a member of the North Rome Baptist church, Survivors Include a sister, Mrs. James P, Chambers, Maryville, Tenn,, and a brother, W. Fred Collins, Tampa, with whom she made her home since retirement.
