Rick passed on January 12, 2022 at home with dear friend, Taebo, at his side. A forty-year resident of the R.O.I. family. Rick's joys were riding his garden tractor at Andy's house with Mark and Kelly, game shows, and roommate, Rodney, and friends at Lynn Terrace.
Rick is survived by siblings John (Connie), Michael, and Kathleen (Andrew), nieces Nicole (Mark) and Ginnie, nephew Andrew, great-niece Emily, great-nephew Tyler, and many other relatives.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Janet, sister Laura Lynn, and niece Laura.
A memorial service will be held at Betzler Life Story Funeral Home, 6080 Stadium Dr., Kalamazoo 49009 on Tuesday (JAN 18) at 10AM with a service to follow. Gratitude to all the giving people at M.R.C. and R.O.I. (blessings Scott and Andrea), who provided Rick with housing, employment, advocacy, friendship, and unending patience. Thank you, also, to Miller-Johnson Law firm, especially Marcia, who employed Rick for years making extraordinary accommodations.
