"Charles Walter Franklin, 82, of Hayesville passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022. He was the son of the late Grady and Josephine Hughes Franklin. Charles had been a supervisor for Coble. He had graduated from Hayesville High School and loved gardening, hunting, and fishing.

Charles was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Franklin; and sisters, Francis Dobbins and Bonnie Bryson.

Surviving is a daughter, Linda Franklin; a son, Charles Edward Franklin and wife, Janet; grandchildren, Tiegha Franklin, Kain Franklin, Cody Ownbey, Dylan Ownbey, and Delilah Ownbey; and great grandchildren, Uriah, Charlie, and Rylie.

Graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, January 14, 2022 with Rev. Rondal Brown and Rev. Aud Brown officiating. Pallbearers will be Silas Brown, Timothy Brown, Cody Ownbey, Dylan Ownbey, Paul Lipoff, and Donovan Burke.
