Charles L. Hughes went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 3, 2022, at the age of 87 years old. He was the beloved husband for 49 years to Jo Ann (nee' Hendricks) Hughes, loving, cherished, influential, and caring father of Gwen (Herb) Rogers, Jackie (Ron) Wood, and Jeff (Charla) White, proud Grandpa of Micah (Jessica) Bray, Aaron Bray, Tara (Max) Ellerbe, Jason Wood, Maria (Raul) Gutierrez, Natalie (Kent) Seber, Bradley Rodriguez, and his great grandchildren, Peyton Bray, Elijah Bray, Ariana Bray, Lillian Ellerbe, Brolle Ellerbe, Eleanor Wood, RJ Gutierrez, Gio Gutierrez, and Alora Seber, dear brother of Louella Seale and Jeanette Hughes, and brother-in-law of Joann Hughes, and will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Nora Hughes, his brother, Paul Hughes, his sister, Isazell (Billy) Broaddus, and a brother-in-law Elmer Seale. Charles proudly served our country in the United States Army, was a member of the Glen Este Church of Christ and a member of the Cheviot Masonic Lodge. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2022, from 3 – 5 PM, with Masonic Services at 4:45 PM, at Megie Funeral Home and Crematory, formerly Craver Riggs Funeral Home and Crematory, 529 Main St., Milford, OH 45150. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 10, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Glen Este Church of Christ, 937 Cincinnati Batavia Pk., Cincinnati, OH 45245, where family and friends will be received from 10 AM until the hour of service.
