Lisa Elaine McBride, 62, of Bloomfield, Iowa passed away on January 7, 2022 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. She was born on August 17, 1959 in Jacksonville, Florida to Samuel Norman Groves Jr. and Helen Louise Guise. She married Charles Michael Elam and they had three children, Josh, Isaac, and Abe.
Lisa worked as a manager in the restaurant business for many years. She loved spending time with her family, going on car rides, and fishing. She had a big heart and was an animal lover, always having pets around the house. Her passing will be missed by her many friends and family.
She is survived by two sons, Josh (Nalissa) Elam of Mesa, Arizona, Abe (Kylei) Elam of Bloomfield, Iowa; eight grandchildren, Kaley and Jordyn Elam, Micah, Marcus, MaKenna, Macey, Pearl, and Koraline Elam; step-mother, Zulema Groves; half-brother, Keith Groves; half-sister, Denise Harmon; three brothers, John, Jim, Tom; and a sister, Mary.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Elam; son, Isaac Elam; and a brother, Pete Groves.
Lisa's wish was to be cremated and services are not planned at this time. A memorial has been established to her family and cards or flowers may be sent to Wagler Funeral Home, 304 W. Jefferson St., Bloomfield, Iowa 52537.
