Judith Hoover of Port Jervis, NY died Monday, January 10, 2022 at home. She was 80.
She was born December 10, 1941 in Patterson, NJ the daughter of the late Floyd Babcock and the late Laura (Honeychurch) Babcock.
Judith was a Home Health Aide for the tri-state area, NY for many years.
She was a lifetime member of the Sparrowbush United Methodist Church, Sparrowbush, NY.
A family statement read: Judy was a remarkable woman as a mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. She was a wonderful combination of warmth and kindness, laughter and love.
Surviving are daughter, Tammy McGavin and her boyfriend Kevin Lovelace of Sparrowbush, NY, son, Alfred Hoover, Jr. and his fiancé Jane Hartman of Oldsmar, FL; brother Floyd Babcock, Jr. and his fiancé Vickie Gochenour-LaPaitra of Sparrowbush, NY, sister Susan King and her husband Dana of Circleville, NY; son-in-law Lawrence Dain Jr. of Sparrowbush, NY; daughter-in-law Tammy Cerreta of Tarpon Springs, FL; loving grandchildren: Rebecca Baumgardner and her husband Chris, Brad Dain and his wife Danielle, Christopher Hoover, Tyler Hoover and his wife Katy, Ryan McGavin, Shaun McGavin and Jennifer McGavin; beloved great-grandchildren Eli, Kamryn, Olivia, Caden, Mason, Liam and Hunter; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Judith is predeceased by her sister Lois DeRose and her brother-in-law Herb DeRose.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc., 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY 12771. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 14, 2022 at the funeral home with Pastor Nancy Vonderhorst officiating. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, NY.
