Longtime former Steptoe resident, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Pullman Regional Hospital. She was 80. Memorial Services will be planned at a later date. She will be buried in the Endicott Cemetery with her parents. Linda was born December 5, 1941 in Albany, California to George and Florilla (Stevens) Sorensen. She grew up along with her younger brother in Redding, California, and attended high school in Enterprise, California where she graduated in 1960. Linda was a talented musician who learned to play the piano when she was 6 years old. She married relatively young and made her home in British Columbia where her children were born. She moved to Oregon and completed her Bachelor's Degree in English from Oregon State University in 1975. She earned her R.N. degree from Lower Columbia College in Longview, Washington in 1983. Linda worked at PeaceHealth Medical in Ketchikan, Alaska before moving to this area in 1986 to be closer to her parents who were living in Endicott. She worked for home health agencies here. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from WSU in 1991 and worked at the Whitman Hospital. Linda met Erwin Hall when they were introduced by mutual friends. They married in 1987 in Moscow and made their home in Steptoe. Following his death in 2014 Linda moved to Hill-Ray Plaza in Colfax and for the last three years she has been living at Regency in Pullman. Linda was a long-time member of the Steptoe Community Church, the Congregational Church in Colfax, and a member of the "Course in Miracles" group. She loved baking, taking road trips, and spending quality time with her large, extended family. She thoroughly enjoyed her grandkids. Linda will be missed by many in the community; but especially by her three daughters, Rebecca, Seattle, WA, Kerry, Eugene, OR, and Jennifer of Las Vegas, NV; her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brother Lonny of Salem, OR; as well as by a large extended Hall family, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
