Raul Martinez of Abilene passed away Friday, December 10, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family . Funeral Services will be held Monday December 20, at North's Funeral Home at at 11:30 am. With burial to follow at Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be heldat North's Funeral Home Chapel from 5-7pm on Sunday December 19, 2021.
Raul was born November 1, 1962 in Haskell, TX to Margaret Gonzales-Martinez and Rudy Martinez. Raul received his primary education from Abilene public schools graduating from Abilene High School in 1981 After High School he joined the United State Marine Corp and served his country for several years. Raul worked at Abilene Mill Works for 20 years as a Cabinet Maker, he also worked at the Abilene State Supported living Center for 20 years. Raul Loved electronics, Wood crafts, and music. He also loved going camping with his family and friends, he loved working on cars in his spare time when he wasn't working, which he loved to do to provide for his family.
Raul was preceded in death by mother Margaret Gonzales-Martinez, father Rudy Martinez, maternal and paternal grandparents.
