Samuel J. Peters, 92, of Moon Twp. died on January 9, 2022. He was born in Sewickley on September 21, 1929 the son of the late Samuel & Julia (Santo) Pietrantonio.

Samuel served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He retired from Moon Area School District where he was a math teacher and a football coach in the 60s. Also, he loved fishing especially on Lake Erie, was an avid Golfer and a fan of the Steelers. He was a longtime member of St. Margaret Mary Church in Moon Twp.

In addition to his parents, Samuel is preceded in death by his wife, Veronica Jean (Greff) Peters in 2007, and a brother, Bud Pietrantonio.

Samuel is survived by his two children: Samuel "Skip" Peters, Georgetown, PA, and Pamela Ryan (Randy), Moon Twp., PA. Five grandchildren: Ethan, Tonia & Justin Peters, Tyler & Samantha Ryan.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, January 12th from 5-8 PM in the Huntsman Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Moon Twp. (1522 Coraopolis Hts. Rd.). Where a blessing service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM. Committal and Military Honors will follow at Coraopolis Cemetery.
