Ms. Jenkins was born April 23, 1948, in Fairhope, AL, to Dalton Jones and Mary "Rena" Gabel Jones. She passed away January 11, 2022, in Butler, AL.
She was a graduate of Fairhope High School. From there, she became a licensed cosmetologist. She was a cosmetologist for 40 years. Sandy was known for her cooking skills. She loved to cook for people, and they loved when she cooked for them!
Her children and grandchildren were her life. There were very few events that they participated in that she did not attend. Her role as wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and mother-in-law was a one in a million find.
She is survived by her children, Leslie Jenkins Hanna (Daniel), James O. Jenkins (Stephanie), LeighAnn Jenkins (Lance), Brian A. Jenkins (Thea), April J. Logan (Benji), and Nichole J. Noblin (Lance); grandchildren, Payton H. Flowers (Dylan), Gavin Jenkins (Madison), Taylor Turner (Jake), Madelyn Jenkins, Zach Jenkins, Drew Hanna, Martie Grace Jenkins, Brandi Logan, Braxton Jenkins, Mary London Noblin, Alley Logan, Tate Noblin, Wyatt Logan, and Bendi Logan; and great granddaughter, Maisyn Flowers; mother, Mary "Rena" Jones; sisters, Carolyn Evans, Diane Boyd (Craig), Rosemary Carlisle, and Barbara Mathis; and a host of other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Lester O. Jenkins; father, Dalton Jones; sister, Donna Jones; grandfather, George Gabel; and grandmother, Irene Gabel.
