Gloria E. García, age 94 was born on May 26, 1927, born in Polvadera, New Mexico.
Gloria was a resident of Coyote, NM.
Gloria was blessed to be the only girl in a family of six brothers.
Gloria made her journey to her Heavenly home on Friday, January 7, 2022.
Gloria was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother to many.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Esequiel and Ambrosia Ortega, her brothers, George, Leopoldo, Emilio, Esequiel, Ubaldo, a special brother, Severo and her son, Ubaldo Trujillo.
Gloria was also preceded in death by husband, Ernesto Trujillo.
Gloria is survived by sons and daughters, Olivia (David), Stella (Joe), Ambrosia (Keith), Ernesto (Darlene), Gabriel (Rosie) and Doris (David). Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Felix García and is survived by her sons, Felix (Vickie) and Floyd (Evelyn), two step-sons, Presciliano (Fabiola) and Gilbert García, grandchildren that she helped raise, Adam García, Alejandra García and Michelle Trujillo, 29 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Gloria will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.
Gloria was a homemaker and worked as a foster grandparent with Jemez Mountain Schools for many years. Gloria was a devout Christian woman that raised nine children, she loved reading her bible and attending church until she was unable to attend due to health reasons. Gloria's hobbies were growing and canning fruits and vegetables, crocheting, ceramics, baking and cooking for her kids and grandkids. Gloria was surrounded by all who loved and cared for her, she will be greatly missed and her legacy will live on through her children.
A funeral service will take place on Tuesday February 8, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gethsemani Temple in Coyote (Salitrar) and burial will follow at the Coyote Catholic Cemetery, Coyote, NM. Serving as Pallbearers will be Michael Trujillo, Ernesto Trujillo Jr., Randy Jácquez, Adam García, Jody Gonzáles, Duane Jácquez, Joel Jácquez and David Luján Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Jácquez, Veronica Johnson, Lisa Gonzáles, Yolanda Gonzáles, Erica Banegas, Audrey Mauldin, Michelle Trujillo, Gloria Martínez, Jessica Martínez, Mattie Taylor, Tina Fernández, Sarah Vialpando, Ubaldo Trujillo, Robyn García, Alysha Cassels, Vickie Valdéz and Alejandra García.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Audrey Mauldin, Alejandra García and Olivia Velásquez for providing loving care to our mother and grandmother, Gloria in her final days.
Special thank you to JD and Sarah Vialpando for all they did to help with her care.
