Mark E. Brown
"Brownie"

A beloved husband, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend, Mark Ernest Brown, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2022, after battling an extended illness. Born November 27, 1951, in Salt Lake City to William and Lois Brown.

A graduate of East High school; Mark went on to spend many years as a custom upholsterer. He enjoyed traveling, camping, and red rock adventures with his beloved wife, aka "the girl", his family, his lifelong friends and his dogs. He was a kind and wonderful person who was an inspiration to us all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Phillip, and Leo, and his sister Vicky.

He is survived by his wife Tricia, daughter Jenifer (Mark) Riekhof, his siblings Robin (Brian) Hallman and Chris (Tonya) Brown, stepchildren, nieces, nephews, and many grandchildren who affectionately called him "Papa Mark".

The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation for the staff at U of U hospital and Applegate Hospice for their excellent care.

The Lord's my shepherd, I'll not want;
He makes me lie in pastures green.
He leads me by the still, still waters,
His goodness restores my soul.

And I will trust in You alone,
And I will trust in You alone,
For Your endless mercy follows me,
Your goodness will lead me home.

He guides my ways in righteousness,
And He anoints my head with oil,
And my cup, it overflows with joy,
I feast on His pure delights.

And though I walk the darkest path,
I will not fear the evil one,
For You are with me, and Your rod and staff
Are the comfort I need to know.
