Robert James Jensen
March 16, 1926 - January 8, 2022 (age 95)

Robert (Bob) Jensen, 95, passed away on January 8, 2022 in Parowan, Utah, surrounded by his family. Bob was born March 16, 1926 in Los Angeles, California, to Ernest Claire Jensen and Pauline Hall Jensen. He grew up in Los Angeles, Tucson, Arizona and Salt Lake City. He attended East High School where he met his future wife, Carol Wamsley. He dropped out of high school at 17, to join the Army/Air Corp during WWII. When he returned, he married Carol on January 8, 1947. After Carol's death, he married Patricia Johnson on August 15, 1990.

He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He made his career building homes and was fondly called Bob the Builder. He was a 40-year veteran of the Air Force, the last 36 in the reserves, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant. He had many hobbies, and was an exceptional wood carver. In 2008, Bob was Parowan's citizen of the year.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Jensen, of the family home, his daughter, Robyn Gillette of Parowan, Utah and son Brett Jensen, of Palo Cedro, California, Pat's children, Michael (Maureen) Johnson, of Longmont, Colorado and Brian (Eva) Johnson of Clinton, Utah, 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. His brother, Darrell C. (Cathy) Jensen of Las Vegas. His nephew, Danny (Laura) Jensen of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and niece, Sallie Jensen of Morgan Hill, California. His marriage to Pat, gave him a large extended family that he loved.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol, his brother Richard L. Jensen and son-in-law, Robert Gillette.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 12:00 noon. A viewing will be Friday, January 14th, from 6-8 pm and on Saturday from 10:30-11:30 am, before the services, at the Parowan 4th Ward Building (25 N. Main Street, Parowan, UT). Interment will be in Los Gatos Memorial Park, Los Gatos, California. Services are under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. www.sumortuary.com
