John Farmer, 90, went peacefully home to his Lord after a brief illness. Born Colton, CA to Walter Roy & Emily Adele (Gorin) Farmer. Lifelong resident of Riverside. Member of St. Francis DeSales, Riverside for 69 yrs. He remained steady in his faith. Poly High School Grad-1950. Riverside City College Grad-1952. U.S. Navy aboard the USS Monterey, 1952-1955. Retired Kaiser Steel & California Steel after 52 yrs. John was a generous man of heart & time. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather & loyal friend. He loved his LA Dodgers, LA Rams & enjoyed local football & basketball. Loved tennis & golf. Volunteered in PTA, Boy Scouts, 4-H, T-ball, Horticulture, co-owned Pat's Ceramics. He expressed much gratitude for the concerns of his family & friends during his illness. Preceded in death: parents, wife of 50 years Patricia (Brady), brothers Bob Farmer/Mary, Don Farmer/Peggy, brother & sisters-in-law Chuck & Colleen Swift, his son (John) Russell Farmer, son-in-law Bill McDonald (Terri). Survived by children: Cathy Farmer-NV, Terri McDonald-CA, Lindsay (Josh) Pinnell WA, John (Kat) Farmer-CA; grandchildren: Amy, Russell (Lizette), Kellie, Jolene (Camille), Jessica, Wade & Zoe; great grandchildren Gray, Kodi, Diego & Victor; niece & nephews Kathy, Karen, Carol, Gene & Mike. Celebration of Life at: St. Frances DeSales, 4268 Lime St., Riverside, CA; 1/14/2022 - 10 AM Rosary. 10:30 AM Mass, 11:30 AM Burial Evergreen Cemetery, Riv, CA. Open House at his home between 1-5pm.
