Joan Jessen Morrow

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend passed, in Draper Utah, and returned to her Heavenly Father.

Joan was born December 9, 1932 to Christopher Leo Jessen and Matilda Fern Jacklin Jessen. She grew up in Kingston, Utah. She married Leo William Morrow November 12, 1954. They lived most of her married life in the Midvale – Sandy area of Utah. Where they raised their three children.

Joan graduated from Piute High School, Dixie College and BYU. She taught school in the Jordan (Canyon) School district for 24 years. When she retired, she was able to work 10 years at the Bishops Storehouse as a missionary. Which she loved doing.

Joan was an active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all her life. She held callings in the relief society presidency, the library and others. Both Leo and Joan looked forward to boys and girls camp every year where they could enjoy the youth.

She loved traveling and learning about new places, and had traveled from one coast to the other, and many states in between.

Joan is survived by their three children, Leonard William Morrow (Dianne) Pleasant Grove, Jeannine Morrow Johnson (Max) West Jordan, and Lorna Morrow MacDonald (Paul) Boston. And her sister Martha Mattinson and her brother Carlos (Liz) Jessen.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband Leo William Morrow. Her sisters Cleo Fern, Shirley and Leila.

A viewing will be held Tuesday at 10:30 am to 11:15.

Family prayer at 11:15 then a graveside dedication of the grave at 11:30. Internment at Redwood Memorial Estates 6500 S. Redwood Road.
