James Paul Quillen, Sr., 75, of Spring Grove, passed away on January 8, 2022 at UPMC Hanover Hospital in Hanover, PA.

Born October 13, 1946 in Salisbury, MD, he was the son of the late Paul Darwin Quillen and Gladys Mae Lynch Quillen. He was the husband of Linda Hastings Quillen, his wife of 53 years.

Mr. Quillen was a graduate of Salisbury State College. He honorably served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was the owner of Quillen Construction Consultants, Inc.
He was a member and Past Master of Lebanon Lodge 175, A.F.&A.M., a 32nd Degree KCCH of the Scottish Rite, and belonged to the Boumi Temple Shrine. He was a Past Patron of the Lebanon Chapter 108 of the Order of the Eastern Star. He was also a member of National Sojourners and the Army Counter Intelligence Corps Veterans, Inc.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons and daughter-in-law, James Paul Quillen, Jr. of Naples, FL, William Devereaux and Stacey Quillen of Conway, SC; daughter and son-in-law, Helen Amanda Louise Quillen and Frank Gailey of Pitcairn, PA; granddaughters, Kaylee Quillen, Elizabeth Gailey, Rhiannon Gailey, and Olivia Quillen; grandsons, J. P. Quillen, III, Aiden Quillen, and Beauregard Quillen; and sister, Paula Jones of Berlin, MD.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 14, 2022, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead, MD 21074. A service of Masonic Rites will be held on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date in Berlin, MD.
