Edward P. Gallagher, most commonly known as Mike Shannon, 67, of Exeter Township, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022, in Reading Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anne (Duffy) Gallagher. He graduated from Cardinal O'Hara High School, and went on to earn his Masters Degree from Villanova and was a member of St. Catharine of Siena. Beyond radio, which was his true love, he enjoyed watching and coaching his son's sports, golfing, and having a good time. He worked as the general manager and vice president of Y102 and WRAW. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three sons; three grandchildren; and his sister and four brothers. He was preceded in death by his brother Daniel. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 2:30 pm in St. Catherine Of Siena R.C.C. Exeter, 4975 Boyertown Pike, Reading, PA 19606. Interment will private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church at 2427 Perkiomen Avenue Reading, PA 19606.
