Eunice Fischer Beermann
July 14, 1930 - January 7, 2022

Eunice Fischer Beermann, daughter of the late Paul H. and Liese Lange Fischer, was born July 14, 1930, at Bethany Hospital, Kansas City, Kansas.

She was baptized the following day by Pastor H.C. Harting. Six years later, the family welcomed her brother, Richard Paul.

Eunice attended Holy Cross Grade School. She was confirmed on April 2, 1944, and was graduated from Concordia High School in 1948.

She was united in marriage to Paul Beermann on May 14, 1950, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Emma. They were blessed with three daughters and lived most of their life on the family farm northwest of Emma.

She was an active Braille Center volunteer for 25 years, as well as a Banner Committee member, a Funeral Committee member, and a member of the church choir for many years.

Eunice farmed, canned, and baked. She was the lawnmower, bookkeeper, gardener, bus driver, quilter, crafter, and family historian. She generously shared her time and talents, caring for parents, aunts, husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Eunice lived for a number of years at the Good Shepherd Care Community in Concordia, where she passed away on January 7, 2022, at the age of 91.

She was preceded in death by her husband on February 11, 2014, brother, parents, son-in-law, Alan Eckhoff, and grandson, Jeremy Powers.

Survivors include daughters, Kathleen Powers and Barbara Beermann of Concordia, and Deborah Eckhoff (Don Clardy) of Overland Park, Kansas; granddaughter-in-law Christina Powers of Concordia; three granddaughters, Monica Powers of Columbia, Erin Eckhoff Crumrine (Dan), and Jami Eckhoff of Austin, Texas; eight great-grandchildren; five nieces and nephews; and countless friends.

Private family graveside service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Emma, MO.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Emma, with Pastor Jacob Mueller officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Holy Cross Cemetery Fund or Lafayette County Cancer Coalition in the care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.
