Services for Mr. Davis will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, with Reverend Tim Herrington officiating. The visitation for Mr. Davis will begin at 1:00 p.m. and continue until the time of service. Interment will follow the service in Tioga Cemetery under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Mrs. Earline Davis; parents, Ed Davis and Madie Smith Davis; daughter, Debbie Sue Cochran; and 11 siblings.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Rod Davis (Debbie) and Tommy McComic; daughter, Ann Mott (Kevin); 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 1 great great granddaughter, Stella; and a host of extended family and friends.
Mr. Davis was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and retired after 20 years of service. He enjoyed fishing in his younger years and tinkering in his shop. Mr. Davis loved his family dearly and was always good for a laugh or joke. Mr. Davis dearly loved his wife, Earline. They were inseparable and he tended to her when she became ill in such a tender and loving way. Above all else, Mr. Davis was a faithful man of God and attended Central Missionary Baptist Church for many years. He will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.
Pallbearers honored to serve are; Zach Davis, Austin Mott, Michael Adams, Ben Richard, Therrell Pierce, and Wendall Smith.
