Jesse Lawrence Walker, age 93 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away January 9, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 4, 1929 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to James Ernest Walker and Eliza Eva (Dotson) Walker.

He graduated from Chickasha High School and worked as the Shift Supervisor for OG&E for 39 years. He married the love of his life, Betty Jean Price on June 3, 1951 in Temple, Oklahoma. Jesse was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Konawa, and he was a 32nd Degree Mason. He loved to do mechanical and electrical projects, and he was of a strong Christian faith. Jesse was a wonderful husband, great father, and loving grandfather.

He is survived by one son, Lawrence Walker and wife, Patricia of Galveston, Texas; three daughters, Alice Burgess of Norman, Oklahoma, Susan Walker of Konawa, Oklahoma, and Carol Fathi and husband Nader, of Spring, Texas; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Eliza Walker; wife, Betty Walker on December 15, 2020; 1 granddaughter, Rebekah Burgess; 7 brothers; and 4 sisters.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2022 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. Rev. Pam Shirk will officiate, and burial will follow at Konawa Cemetery.
