Paul A. Seifert Sr., of Townsend, Wisconsin died Thursday December 30, 2021 at the age of 79 due to complications from Parkinson's disease. He was born on December 15, 1942 in Milwaukee to his late parents Norman and Helen (Dreifuerst) Seifert.
He married JoEllen Stergar, his high school sweetheart, on July 18, 1964. Paul and JoEllen were blessed with three children, Paul Jr., Wendy, and John.
In 1966 Paul and JoEllen purchased their first new car, a Pontiac Le Mans, that they still own to this day. You may have spotted his Le Mans last summer as Paul and his son Paul Jr. drove it in the Townsend July 4th parade!
Paul retired from Badger Meter in Brown Deer, Wisconsin after 37 years. In 1994, he and JoEllen bought lake property on the Townsend Flowage and set up residence in their mobile home until they were able to build their home in 2000. Going up north brought Paul so much joy. After they retired, Paul and JoEllen became snowbirds and wintered in Sebring, Florida.
Paul is known for his strong work ethic, his ability to fix anything from a broken toy to a boat engine and his ability to find uses for broken things -as to not throw it out- was second to none! He loved to play cards with his family and friends, he played on the floor with his grandchildren, taught them how to fish, made folks laugh with his quick wit and ALWAYS had ice-cream in the freezer. Paul's greatest source of pride was his family.
Survivors include his wife JoEllen, daughter Wendy (Brian) Henschel, sons Paul Jr. (Madia) Seifert, John (Ericka) Seifert, 8 grandchildren (Morgan, Isabelle, Amanda, Ava, Gabe, Tate, Josie, and Beckett), sister MaryEllen (Bill) Greiten, brothers Don Seifert, Rick (Jewel) Seifert, sister-in-law Sharon Seifert, and JoEllen's sister Lauren (Saturnino) Sanchez.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brother Gene Seifert, and sister-in-law Barbara Seifert.
Visitation will be Friday, January 14, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church, Lakewood.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church with Reverend Philip Dinh-Van-Thiep officiating. Burial will take place at the church cemetery at a later date. Online condolences for the family may be directed to www.weberhillfuneralhome.com
