Brenda Lois Keene, age 70 of Jersey Shore, PA formerly of Whitewood passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022. She was born January 3, 1952 in Richlands, VA and was the daughter of the late David Carl and Geneva Waldron Keene.
Brenda was a member of the Claypool Hill Church of Christ. She worked at the GM Plant in Michigan for 20 years before moving back to Whitewood in 1986. She was a manager of the Aspen Square apartments in Tazewell, VA and she worked at Waffle and Egg for many years before their closing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Keene; sister-in-law, Tammy Keene; brother-in-law, Thurman Compton.
Brenda is survived by one daughter, Sabrina Ferland and husband Jared; one sister, Linda Compton of Austintown, OH; four grandchildren, EmiLee Ferland, IsaBella Ferland, HarmAnee Ferland, and JaKob Ferland; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 11th at Singleton Funeral Service in Cedar Bluff, VA.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 12th in the Singleton Funeral Service Chapel with Evangelist Bob Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens Cemetery at Claypool Hill, VA. Pallbearers will be Jared Ferland, Jakob Ferland, Jay Ferland, Blake Robinson, Adam Keene, Andy Mitchell, and Scott Compton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the familyfor Brenda's grandchildren's college fund.
