SULPHUR -- Services for Curtis Wesley Franks, 91, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Clagg Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Frank Trent officiating. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Franks died March 3, 1998, in Wynnewood. He was born Dec. 4, 1906, at Salem, Ark., to Robert and Janie Scott Franks.
He came to Seminole as a boy and married Irene Clifton there in 1926. He had lived in Sulphur since the 1930s and was a retired farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife on April 2, 1996; a son Curtis Jr.; a brother, Boyce; and two sisters, Estelle Scott and Iona Lack.
Survivors include a son, Charles, Sulphur; a brother, Loyed, Sulphur; two sisters, Lena Cox, Sulphur, and Virgie Suchy, Purcell; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
