Armin A. Finger, Jr.

LaGrange - Armin A. Finger, Jr., 70, entered eternal life on Friday, June 12, 2015 at the Mid Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY with his family by his side. He was born on June 17, 1944 in Bronx, NY to Armin and Margaret Finger. Armin grew up in Bronx, NY, later moving to Poughkeepsie, NY. He graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Poughkeepsie in 1962. During high school while working at Adriance Memorial Library, he met his best friend who later became his loving wife and mother of his two sons. After high school he began working for IBM and was a Senior Programmer for 30 years. Fulfilling a lifelong dream, he opened his own business, Linkanotion, and worked until retiring in 2010. Armin was an avid Bob Dylan fan, collecting his music for years. In his free time he enjoyed camping with his family, following Nascar racing and attending many tracks around the country. He was a Boy Scout Master of Troop 177 for many years; his own sons earning many badges. For years he mentored many eagles scouts, including his eldest son Keith. Armin was preceded in death by his parents, Armin and Margaret and his loving wife Marilyn. Armin is survived by his son Keith (Kim) Finger of Macfarland, West, Virginia and son Erik (Milissa) Finger of Poughkeepsie. Also surviving are his brother Ronald (Ruthann) Finger of Sturgis, SD, his sister Brenda (Robert) Cecchini of Ludlow, MA, as well as his grandchildren Jason, Karlie, Kurtis and Matthew, two great-grandchildren Alex and Brielle and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Armin also leaves his partner of many years, Roberta (Bobbi) Scelea. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 10am - 12pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. There will be a Service at 12:00pm following visitation. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the Family.
